The Right Rev. Craig Barry Anderson, a member of the Episcopal Church’s House of Bishops, has been honored as an outstanding alumnus of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind.
Anderson, who was graduated from the university in 1963, was given the VU Alumni Association’s Alumni Achievement Award. The award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their chosen careers.
When elected to his current position in March 1985, Anderson was the youngest member of the Episcopal Church’s House of Bishops at age 42. The diocese of South Dakota that he serves includes all the state, as well as parts of North Dakota, Minnesota and Nebraska.
